In April 2020, I was hired to Thrive Chicago as the My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) portfolio Intern. My Brother’s Keeper is an initiative created by President Obama in 2014 to address the needs of boys and young me of color in the country. The MBK initiative is located in majority of the major cities in the US and MBK Chicago being the second largest MBK community in the country.

My initial tasks for MBK Chicago was to design the logo (seen above), create and manage their social media, support and track community engagement and other communications needs. After my internship was extended I was promoted to MBK Coordinator with project management lead roles within the MBK portfolio and serving as the in-house graphic designer for the whole organization. I  would the lead project management of projects that the MBK portfolio led, as well as design data reports, flyers, and infographics for all portfolios. On this page you see examples of some of the in-house graphic design I completed at Thrive Chicago.
